Demonstration KML files were developed in collaboration with academic and public health partners in Mexico (Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan, Servicios de Salud de Yucatan, and Servicios Estatales de Salud de Quintana Roo):
- City infrastructure in Chetumal, Mexico, developed in Google Earth.
This KML file demonstrates the power of using Google Earth to generate city infrastructure information that can be broadly used to support a wide range of public health programs. The KML file was developed through a collaboration between Colorado State University and Servicios Estatales de Salud de Quintana Roo.

- City blocks with dengue cases in Chetumal, Mexico, in 2006.
This KML file demonstrates the value of mapping dengue cases and the power of using maps to display disease clustering. The KML file was developed through a collaboration between Colorado State University and Servicios Estatales de Salud de Quintana Roo.

- Weekly time series for mosquito vector data (presence of Aedes aegypti as determined with oviposition traps) and dengue case data (presence of cases by neighborhood) in Chetumal, Mexico, from January to June 2008.
This KML file shows the value of being able to simultaneously display information for mosquito vectors and dengue cases in a dynamic time–series format. The KML file was developed through a collaboration between Colorado State University and Servicios Estatales de Salud de Quintana Roo.Chetumal_cases_ovitraps_2008.kmz
- Weekly time series for presence of dengue cases in Merida, Mexico, by neighborhood from 1997 to 2007.This KML file demonstrates how Google Earth can be used to dynamically display space-time patterns of disease outbreaks over long time periods. Using a static map format, the same weekly information would require > 500 maps to be conveyed to the viewer. The KML file was developed through a collaboration between Colorado State University, Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan, and Servicios de Salud de Yucatan.
